If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or services.
SJ3 Mental Health Consulting ("SJ3", "we", "us", "our") provides telehealth psychological services to individuals across Australia. Our psychologists reserve the right to decline or discontinue services where telehealth is not considered clinically appropriate, and will provide a referral to a more suitable service where possible.
Appointments may be booked via our online booking system, by telephone, or by email. By booking an appointment, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms of Service.
Upon booking, you will receive a confirmation email containing the date and time of your appointment and a secure link to join your telehealth session. Please check your spam or junk folder if you do not receive this email.
You are responsible for ensuring you are in a private, quiet location with a stable internet connection at the time of your session. Sessions will not be recorded without your explicit written consent.
Our current session fees are displayed on our website and will be confirmed at the time of booking. Fees are subject to change; any changes will be communicated to existing clients with reasonable notice.
Payment is required at the time of or prior to your session. We accept payment by credit card, debit card, and other methods as displayed at the time of booking. All fees are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.
If you hold a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) from your General Practitioner (GP), you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate on up to 10 individual sessions per calendar year under the Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative.
To claim a Medicare rebate, you must provide a valid referral from your GP prior to or at your first session. It is your responsibility to obtain and provide this referral. We will process your Medicare rebate on your behalf where possible; however, we cannot guarantee rebate eligibility and recommend you confirm your entitlements with Medicare Australia or your GP.
Private health insurance rebates may also be available depending on your level of cover. Please check with your insurer prior to your appointment.
We understand that circumstances change. We ask that you provide as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
More than 24 hours' notice
No cancellation fee. You may reschedule at no charge.
Less than 24 hours' notice
A cancellation fee of $55 will be charged to your nominated payment method.
Non-attendance (no-show)
The full session fee will be charged if you do not attend your appointment without prior notice.
Cancellation fees are not eligible for Medicare rebates. We reserve the right to waive cancellation fees in exceptional circumstances at our discretion.
All sessions are delivered via secure, encrypted video conferencing platforms. By engaging our telehealth services, you acknowledge and agree that:
All information shared during your sessions is strictly confidential and will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Psychology Board of Australia's Code of Conduct.
Confidentiality has limits. Your psychologist may be required to disclose information without your consent in the following circumstances:
